Okay so I finished the last post with the promise of posting a few of my favorite spring products for babies. I have a 9 1/2 month old...who is very busy and on the go. I love to find products/toys/ gear that fit our lifestyle and keep him entertained!!!

These are some of those that I have tried March-May!

Here we go!

1.  Product Details

This table is such a life saver and FUN toy for outside play. It says the age range is 2+ however if you have a standing baby, they can easily slide their hands in and grab the toys/splash the water ect. It also comes with a fun little fishing pole to grab all of the fishes with!!! SO MUCH FUN!

Jaxie Bear!!!!

This is our Go- To sunscreen every time we go outside. Jax has extremely sensitive skin and breaks out constantly with different lotions..this is the ONLY one I found that doesn’t break him out.

Today I am talking about SPRING!!!

Spring has Sprung and is in full force.. it is a good 90 degrees here in San Antonio and I have started to put away my jeans and haul out ( and dust off) my shorts. Last summer I was pregnant so I have a TON of cute summer maternity clothes, but it has been awhile since I have shopped for my post baby body.

This month also marks my BIRTHDAY MONTH :) yay!! I love a birthday!

Here are some of my favorite spring products as of late.. I plan on doing a spring baby product post later on!

How about a romper?? THIS exact romper would be SO cute paired with YELLOW!!! the possibilities are endless with this.

2.  Bath and Body Menthos Lip Balm and Hand Moisturizer

find products HERE

This watermelon hand creme and matching lip gloss were a last minute “ add to cart” item when I was ordering my favorite candles. I don’t typically use hand creme but being a mom and washing my hands constantly, they tend to get dried out. This is the perfect tube of creme to stick in your purse or diaper bag and it smells amazing!!!!

Now, the lip gloss is AMAZING! I am pretty picky about lip gloss..especially when I am putting on a full face of makeup..but lets be honest..a full face is somewhat rare. I mostly slap on some gloss when I am running out the door to workout, go to the grocery store, or run a quick errand. The lipgloss is tinted in different colors and gives that tingly feeling for some lip plump! The watermelon is always my go to scent for summer so that is the one I ordered.

Right now they are buy 1 get two free!!!

4. PJ SALVAGE

PJ salvage and I are besties. I have worn their jammies pretty much forever. They make great lounge clothes, comfy sweats, and cute prints for pajamas. I bought the exact version below with the matching tank ( not shown). They have a TON of cute spring prints out right now!

5.  Evian Facial Water

Shop HERE

THIS is a great product for upcoming spring/summer. It is wonderful and easy to toss in your pool bag, diaper bag, purse or whatever! During the hot months ( IN TEXAS WE START WITH HOT.. ABOUT MARCH) our faces are constantly getting dried from the sun, being outside, wearing makeup..whatever. Along with a great skincare routine, I love to keep my face hydrated with this stuff. I spritz it on after a great workout, being outside all day, or when my face just feels dry or tight. It keeps it fresh and hydrated which is what we all need for that youthful looking skin :)

These are my few favorites for spring!

I feel like this is a meal that you can easily mix and match or create different versions to make them to your liking. you could do steak, pork, shrimp, chicken.. you could add potatoes or even different veggies to mix it up a little bit. Lunch Rut

Image result for happy Monday

Happy Monday Friends!!!!

Today’s post is mostly centering around our ( or at least mine)  LEAST thought out meal of the day. Many times Lunch is just ...inconvenient?? For me anyways lunchtime falls around the baby’s nap time so as I am finishing feeding him, changing his diaper, fixing a bottle, and getting ready for our nap time routine MY LUNCH is literally the last thing on my mind. Most days I will shovel something in my mouth just so I can spend more of the time doing something productive ( like write on this blog :)) rather then fix myself something nutritious. For many of you moms I am sure a NAP or cleaning the house is more on the priority list rather than making a mess in the kitchen...am I right?? I spent this weekend meal prepping a few meals so that even on the busiest of days when I am strapped for time.. I can eat something.. fueling.

Here are some EASY ideas that can be prepped before hand

 Brandon’s Chicken Salad

Ingredients:

1 rotisserie chicken off the bone and chunked
1 apple, peeled and chunked
2 stalks of celery chopped
3 boiled eggs chopped or sliced
8 oz of dill relish
s&p
Mayo to your liking

Stir and refrigerate!!!

This chicken salad is great on Ezequiel Toast or just plain by itself:)

Tuna Stuffed Avocados

Make exactly like the above chicken salad except substitute the chicken with Tuna. Stuff in an Avocado and you have yourself a protein packed easy lunch

Turkey Roll ups

I buy Boar’s head Turkey and roll it up with light baby swiss cheese.. Sometimes I stuff it in a lettuce wrap and call it a day. EASY!

Pasta Salad

This takes some prep work..

Usually on a Sunday I will make this but it lasts ALL WEEK!!! It is simple, easy, and delicious..your kids will eat it too :)

1 package of whole wheat bow tie pasta.. cooked and drained

1 bunch of basil, torn into small pieces or chopped fine

shredded mozzarella cheese

2 grilled chicken breasts cut into chunks

1 small bottle of pesto

1 box of cheery tomatoes sliced

olive oil

salt and pepper

toss all of the ingredients together and enjoy!!!

Turkey/Beef Taco Bowl

Hey Friends!!!!

Happy Thursday or as I like to call it “ Friday Eve”

I wanted to share a recipe with you that was pretty much planned last minute but turned out to be amazing and so SIMPLE!!!!

Simplicity is the key word I’m going for these days when I am grabbing my pots and pans and washing up for dinner.

You could make this with either lean turkey meat or 90 percent lean ground beef its up to you!!!!

Here we go!

Shopping List:

1 lb ground lean turkey or beef

1/2 chopped yellow onion

1 can black beans rinsed and drained

one cup of diced tomatoes ( or rotel if you have that on hand)

1 avocado cubed

1 cup shredded yellow cheddar or monterray Jack

one bunch of cilantro chopped and rinsed

one packet of low sodium taco seasoning

one package of brown rice or quinoa ( cooked)

1 orange or yellow bell pepper chopped, seeded, and rinsed

Procedure:

Start by browning your meat with the yellow onion until nice and crumbly. Add the taco seasoning and cook as the package instructs. Next drain and place back in your pot. Add the black beans, tomatoes, avocado, about 1/2 of the cilantro, and the bell pepper. Stir and cook until the bell pepper is nice and soft and the flavors marry together for a while.

Once veggies are tender ( about 15 minutes)

add your cheese, cooked rice or quinoa and avocado!!

HOLY YUM!!!

** disclaimer**

I made this for my nine month old however all I did differently was NOT season his. I basically just took a small portion of ground meat, beans, avocado, bell pepper, and cheddar and cooked his in a separate pot. If you are not worried about the sodium ( hence why I opted for low) then it will be great for your kids too!!!!

ENJOY!

Hey Monday!

“ Who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life?”- Matthew 6:27 If we do all we can and then entrust the outcome to God, worrying is pointless.

This verse was on my daily bible app and it just resonated with me today! I am by nature a worrier, like may of us are. There just always seems to be SOMETHING to worry about. I relish in the days when I can control my thoughts and spiritually feel at ease. Those days are few and far between but I am starting to experience more and more of those days while practicing the process of giving all of my thoughts to God. My husband on the other hand NEVER worries.. his trust in God is bigger than the rocky mountains. Seriously. HE NEVER WORRIES. I envy people who never worry...how calm cool and collected they must feel right?

I have been working on a three week bible study that is strengthening me to NOT worry.. it’s helping so much. The study is Priscilla Shirer’s Armor of God

Ya’ll its awesome.

Goodbye anxious thoughts, worry, and chaos.

Hello peace.

grab it if you think it may help!!!

* Linked above*

So that was just a tidbit into the start of this week..

Monday started off great! I had an amazing workout despite the rain.. Jax is STILL napping :) Going on 2.5 hours. Meals are prepped for the week and we are having dinner tonight with my family at Lupe Tortilla my favorite!!!

I have a great easy peasy chicken taco recipe that I am going to share with y’all ..

seriously it is so easy you could probably do it in your sleep. If you are watching your carb or gluten content simply replace the corn tortillas with jicama tortillas.

SHOPPING LIST:

1 package of organic skinless chicken breasts

1 jar of verde salsa

1 package of small corn tortillas ( think street taco size) or jicama tortillas

1/4 chopped yellow onion optional

1 cup shredded monterray jack cheese

1 avocado cubed separated

1 lime juiced

1 small bunch of cilantro chopped

Procedure:

S & P your chicken

pour the verde salsa over it and cook on low for 6 hours.
* add in onion if you want

shred once cooked

add in the monterray jack cheese

about half of the cubed avocado

sprinkle some cilantro and pour in the lime juice and let simmer for about 15 minutes

assemble tacos :)

SO EASY!
